Wool fiber has many advantages such as excellent breathability, moisture absorption, elasticity, natural anti-odor, etc. It is an important raw material for the textile industry, and is known as “breathing animal fiber”. However, as the demand for wool materials continues to increase, inhumane collection methods and excessive grazing have also caused serious damage to animal and plant ecosystems. As a result, a voluntary global standard, the Responsible Wool Standard(RWS), came into being. RWS provides a benchmark for animal welfare and land management practices in the sheep industry and improves traceability.
